A wellbeing health screen may include measurements of weight, height, waist circumference and blood pressure. A full medical history will be taken including any current medication and family history too. A food diary might be requested prior to the appointment to assist the process. Food intolerances and/or allergies will be discussed. Taking time to listen to your concerns, goals and wishes will be central to the appointment.

Finally, my recommendations post consultation, follow up if required and three actions to take away. 

1 hour session  - £50

This session will include some of the above with the addition of special interest paid to your most recent blood results including Hba1c, FBC, Cholesterol, ldl/hdl and triglycerides, LFT's, renal, eGFR. These will be available either on your NHS app or your surgery can print off your latest blood tests to bring to this appointment. These results will need to be within 8 weeks of your appointment, but preferably 4 weeks to enable me to assess your most recent results. Your specific medications for diabetes will be discussed.

The following lifestyle information will be discussed: Activity levels. Alcohol consumption. Stress level currently. Smoking history.

If you monitor your blood sugar please feel free to bring this device to your appointment. You might be using a libre sensor or dexcom device, which will naturally be available as you will be wearing it.

An opportunity to discuss any other exisiting concerns regarding diabetes, eg neuropathy, eyesight concerns etc.

My advice is individualised, in order that you get the best advice for you. Any medication changes or suggestions will need to be discussed with your GP or Diabetes Team.
